Shimmer Chinodya wrote ‘Dew in the Morning’ when he was a high school student at Goromonzi. It’s a coming of age story, a sharply-perceived evocation of changing life in rural Zimbabwe during the 1960s and 1970s. And Shimmer was on the first ever shortlist of the Caine Prize in 1999 with his short story “Can we Talk”.
